I grew up in a family of three as the youngest of two. My dad raised my brother and myself from the time I was two. He took us traveling with him around the US and then settled us in for school. Thirteen years later his travel bug hit me.

With stories of hitchhiking around the Southern US and out West going through my mind, I developed a larger plan. A plan to go around the world in a year with my best friend. But with all plans, it fell through.

Plan B? To go around the world by myself. Plan C? To go wherever my money would take me when I graduated from college as long as it was out of North America.

Plan D? I foot it across the US. But we aren't there yet. 2014 here I come.
